When conservation treatment of your artifact is complete, the conservator writes a Final Report describing the treatment methods and materials used.

This information can be extremely important if you ever decide to have your artifact treated again, so be sure to keep the Final Report in your records. The report lists any new materials that have been incorporated into your artifact, such as repair papers and adhesives, and also records any chemicals or solvents your artifact has touched. With the Final Report in hand, conservators in the future can review and evaluate the treatment steps your artifact has already undergone, and will be better informed about the history of the object.
