As the Archives Specialist for the Documentary Heritage and Preservation Services for New York (DHPSNY) program, Amelia Parks conducts on-site archival needs assessments and assists with archival and preservation planning. She also develops and presents education programs and provides technical information to library and archival repositories in New York State.
Before joining the staff in 2016, Amelia worked as a Resident Archivist for LA as Subject. She has worked at the Alexander Architectural Archive, the Sacramento Public Library, the California State Parks Archive, and the Granger Brethren Church Archive. She has also worked as a middle and high school teacher. Amelia received her MLIS in Archives and Preservation at the University of Texas at Austin and her BA in Art History at the University of California at Davis.
