Education Program Manager
The Conservation Center for Art & Historic Artifacts (CCAHA) in Philadelphia is seeking an Education Program Manager. Under the general guidance of the Director of Preservation Services, the Education Program Manager contributes to the mission of the CCAHA through management and implementation of educational programs and services to libraries, archives, museums, historical societies, and other organizations and individuals. CCAHA offers both in-person and digital programs, with an emphasis on hands-on learning opportunities when possible. Programs are conducted both as part of ongoing grant commitments and as individual offerings for a particular audience.
Location
Candidates located in or willing to relocate to the Philadelphia area are preferred. This position requires some travel throughout the United States.
Major Responsibilities
- Oversee planning, organization, and arrangements for educational programs – including workshops, online courses, webinars, and conferences/colloquia. Specific duties include speaker recruitment; site research; scheduling; publicity; registration; audiovisual, travel, and catering arrangements; as well as workshop follow-up reporting
- Respond to inquiries and provide information (via telephone, email, and print), on educational programs and services
- Coordinate with Preservation Services Administrator and Manager of Marketing and Client Relations promotion of all educational programs
- Provide customized tours of facility and represent CCAHA at marketing events
- Support Membership and Friends programs by coordinating annual CCAHA Open House and smaller educational events.
- Coordinate outside requests for programming, working with clients to determine scope and pricing
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist in curriculum and content development for educational programs
- Coordinate CCAHA’s online written resources.
Desired Qualifications
- Three to five years’ experience in educational programming and planning, ideally within the cultural nonprofit sector
- Awareness and basic understanding of preservation principles
- Excellent written, verbal, editing, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to work both independently and cooperatively.
Compensation
This is a full-time, exempt position. A generous benefits package that includes time-off, medical, dental, and vision coverage, FSA, and retirement matches are included. The salary range for this position $47,875 - $51,466.
