The Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts (CCAHA) is seeking a full-time housing technician for constructing permanent enclosures, matting, and mounting original works of art and historic artifacts. This position will work closely with the conservation staff and the Manager of Housing and Framing in planning and design of mounts for storage and exhibition. A high degree of manual dexterity, creativity, and ability for precise execution is necessary. The successful candidate must have prior experience in mat cutting and mounting works on paper.
Experience working in a museum type environment handling original art and artifacts is preferred. Successful candidates should have an art background. Salary commensurate with experience. A generous benefits package is provided.
