Giving Tuesday
This Giving Tuesday, Keep the Tools of Preservation Free for All
Preservation knowledge is most powerful when it is widely shared and directly accessible. Each year, CCAHA provides free education programs, downloadable guides, toolkits, and initiatives that support individuals, community groups, and institutions with limited staff or budgets.
Earlier this year, the abrupt termination of several long-standing federal grants eliminated critical funding for many of these programs. Private support is now essential to keep these tools free and accessible.
What's At Stake
Free Live & On-Demand Education
CCAHA’s free educational programming offers expert guidance on digitization, emergency planning, inventories, storage, exhibitions, and more. Over 250 webinar recordings are available on-demand for free on the CCAHA and DHPSNY YouTube channels, reaching thousands of learners across the U.S. and over 50 countries.

Free Resources & Technical Bulletins
CCAHA offers nearly 5,000 free digital resources, including guides, fact sheets, and technical bulletins on essential collections care topics. Popular resources this year covered mold management, safe storage and display, and light exposure during exhibitions.

Free Initiatives That Break Down Barriers
Our grant-funded preservation initiatives—including toolkits for assessing paper-based collections and creating collections management policies, succession planning frameworks, and the new Preservation Glossary—help individuals and organizations take meaningful steps toward better collections stewardship.
Maintaining and expanding these tools now relies entirely on private support.

Your Gift Makes a Tangible Impact
