Gray Ortega
As Manager of Digital Imaging, Gray Ortega (they/them) oversees all imaging projects at CCAHA. These include digitization of books, artwork, archival collections, photographs and negatives, as well as printed facsimiles of a wide range of materials. They consult with clients to evaluate digitizing options, provide estimates and proposals, assist with image processing, and oversee quality control. Gray also works with institutions to conduct digital preservation assessments and planning for large-scale digitization projects.
Gray received their BA in art history and art conservation at the undergraduate program at the University of Delaware. Before joining CCAHA, Gray worked as a Collections Maintenance Technician at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and a Conservation Technician at the Historic Architecture, Conservation, and Engineering Center for the Northeast Region of the National Park Service. They also served for 3 years as an Associate Collections Photographer at the Northeast Document Conservation Center.
