Guests visit the CCAHA lab

Public Tours

CCAHA offers free public tours for small groups interested in an introduction to the conservation and preservation of cultural heritage while getting a glimpse into a working conservation lab. Participants visit our book, paper, and photograph conservation areas, where conservators will share the current projects they’re working on. Tours also will include our digitization, housing, and preservation services areas.  We are constantly taking on new and different conservation projects so every tour will be unique.

These tours are available by appointment only on the second Wednesday and last Friday of every month from 2:00-3:00 PM. Tours are capped at 15 people.

Additionally, specialized 20-minute presentations followed by a private tour are also available by appointment only between the hours of 9:00 AM-5:00 PM on weekdays for a fee of $300.

Please note that we are in a historic building with no elevator, and our lab is located on the second floor, accessible only by staircase. For questions, or to book your tour, contact Greg Stuart.
