Emergency Plans: A Primer
In this virtual program, participants will explore the importance of an Emergency Preparedness Plan and begin the process of developing their own pocket response plan.
In the first portion of the program, presenters will review the key elements of a plan and review resources specific to the Intermountain West region. Together, presenters and participants will explore sample plans and existing templates in order to understand how to best approach writing a plan of their own.
In the second portion of the program, participants will be broken up into working groups to begin completing the Council of State Archivists Pocket Response Plan (PReP). Ideally, participants will establish a small community of practice to support the completion of the plan after the workshop.
Participants will be advised to review the RHSP Intermountain West webinar on Introduction to Emergency Planning & Risk Assessment prior to the program. Participants will also be sent sample plans and a CoSA Pocket Response Plan (PReP) to review.
