Joshua Rickards
In his position at CCAHA, Joshua Rickards assists clients with housing and framing choices and questions. He is responsible for the matting and framing of objects for storage and exhibition, including the design and construction of sealed microclimate packages. He works with conservators on the design of special housing and presents programming related to preservation housing, framing, and handling.
Before joining CCAHA, Josh worked at a number of art museums over the past 2 decades, including LA-MOCA, The Hammer Museum, Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA), and recently the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where Josh was a preparator in the Drawings, Prints, and Photographs department. Josh is also an artist in his own right whose drawings and paintings have been exhibited nationally and internationally. Beyond his own art practice, Josh tries to spend as much quality time with his wife and son as possible.
