Matilde Ticci

Matilde Ticci is CCAHA's 2024-25 Photograph Conservation Fellow. Matilde is from Florence, Italy, and she graduated with distinction from the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in April 2024, where her thesis received the honor of publication. Through her studies, she also acquired practical experience from internships at institutions such as the Gabinetto Fotografico delle Gallerie degli Uffizi and the Guggenheim Collection in Venice. Following graduation, Matilde worked on restoring Italian cellulose acetate motion picture films for a major cinema project in southern Italy. Alongside her professional work, Matilde is dedicated to volunteering with people with disabilities, including those with Down syndrome, at Gruppo Elba in Florence.
