In 2019, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) issued its Electronic Records Management Initiative (NARA M-19-21), requiring federal agencies to manage and submit all records to NARA electronically starting in 2023. As archives and records management industries continue the shift from analog to digital, many organizations are preparing for large digitization and digital preservation projects.
