CCAHA Receives FAIC's Holly Maxson Conservation Grant

We are excited to announce that CCAHA has been awarded in the latest round of Holly Maxson Conservation Grants from the Foundation for Advancement in Conservation (FAIC). These grants are designed to encourage students from middle school through undergraduate to consider conservation as a career path. CCAHA was awarded alongside our colleagues at San Diego's Balboa Art Conservation Center and the  Historic Richmond Foundation in Richmond, Virginia.

With this award, CCAHA will develop and pilot an in-school program for students in grades 6-12 titled Art Conservation in the Classroom: Science, History, and Creativity. This program will send CCAHA staff into schools in the greater Philadelphia area to lead hands-on activities introducing students to the field of conservation, connecting lessons to overarching STEAM concepts and to the students’ daily lives.
