Conservation Up-Close: Opportunities to Learn and Explore

CCAHA offers engaging opportunities for groups and organizations to explore the many facets of conservation and preservation. Whether your team is curious about how rare books, historic photographs, or other cultural treasures are cared for by conservation professionals—or you're looking for practical advice on preserving meaningful items in your home or institution—these programs provide accessible ways to connect with CCAHA’s expert staff and deepen your understanding.

Public Tours

Our Public Tours offer groups a firsthand look at conservation in action, including visits to our book, paper, and photograph workstations, as well as digitization and preservation areas. Tours are available by appointment on the second Wednesday and last Friday of each month and are limited to 15 participants. Private group sessions with a customized presentation are also available for a fee.

Speakers Bureau

Bring the conversation to your organization with CCAHA’s Speakers Bureau, which offers hour-long presentations ideal for libraries, museums, historical societies, and community groups. Topics range from complex conservation treatments to practical strategies for caring for family heirlooms and community archives. Explore our new Speakers Bureau webpage to learn more.
