Gene Castellano
Gene Castellano has authored several papers and given lectures on the history of many buildings and landscapes in northern Delaware. He is the author of "Wilmington: Preservation and Progress". Gene has an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from Villanova University and master’s in liberal studies from the University of Delaware. He also holds certifications in museum studies and historic preservation.
During his business career, he held positions in product development, finance and leadership with the DuPont Company and W. L. Gore and Associates, where he led the creation of the company’s heritage archive. He worked on staff at Hagley Museum and Library to start up Hagley Heritage Curators, an initiative to help companies and trade associations preserve and research their history. Gene now works as an independent archivist and business history consultant.
