CCAHA & Drexel Partnership Featured in 'DrexelNOW'

CCAHA’s recent collaboration with Drexel University has been highlighted in DrexelNOW in a feature exploring a first-of-its-kind co-op experience in conservation and collections care.

The article follows Drexel students Sophia Stutte and Terra Waymire-Rozman, who spent six months working alongside CCAHA staff and the Atwater Kent Collection at Drexel. Through hands-on projects, mentorship from more than a dozen professionals, and exposure to a wide range of preservation practices including stabilization, digitization, exhibition prep, and environmental monitoring, the students gained a comprehensive look at the field.

CCAHA Executive Director Michelle Eisenberg spoke to the impact of this initiative, noting Drexel as “an ideal partner, with its track record in experiential education and its diversity of academic offerings and collections. I so much appreciated how rich this co-op experience could be.”
