Caring for Archives
In this webinar, Alan Barnett will present on the fundamental principles of managing archival materials. Content will be geared toward training staff of museums and other institutions for whom archival collections may be an important but secondary function of the institution. The course will cover the function of archives, basic archival principles, organizing and housing materials, and providing access to materials.
About the Speaker:
Alan Barnett is currently the Local Government Archivist at the Utah Division of Archives and Records Service. Having previously worked at the Division of State History, he has now been with the Archives for seventeen years. He has extensive knowledge in the care and handling of archives. He has a Master's degree in Historic Preservation from the University of Utah.
